Yesterday saw a large number of small craft participate in the search of the Glandore Bay area for two missing fishermen with kayakers joining search teams on board Ribs (rigid inflatable boats) to search inlets.

Skipper Michael Hayes, a father of five from Helvick Head in Co Waterford, and Egyptian Said Mohammed (23) remain missing since their trawler Tit Bonhomme sank near Adam’s Island at the mouth of Glandore Bay on January 15th.

Yesterday dive teams from the Naval Service and the Garda Water Unit searched near Adam’s Island while a civilian team drawn from Union Hall and Baltimore and Killarney Water Rescue searched nearby areas.
