NOTTINGHAM - A family of Germans were dragged from their Mercedes car and assaulted by hooligans after a visit to Sherwood Forest yesterday.
Police said they were treating the incident as racial. Four teenagers, who had been drinking, forced the car to a stop and attacked the 50 year old driver, his 49 year old wife and their sons, aged 20 and 18.
