Gardaí have named the man (20) who was fatally wounded in a shooting in Waterford last evening.
He is Jonathan Burgess, from Priory Lawn, Ballybeg in Waterford city.
He is understood to have died from a gunshot wound after a shooting in the town of Kilmacthomas shortly before 11.30 p.m. yesterday.
A man (20) has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being detained at Waterford Garda Station.

A Garda spokeswoman said the scene of the shooting has been preserved and will be technically examined today.
