The Garda helicopter has been called to help search for a man who escaped from gardaí as attempts were made to arrest him in Co Cork this morning.
A garda spokeswoman said the man was wanted in relation to a number of offences but could not comment further as the situation was ongoing.
The search is being co-ordinated by gardaí from Fermoy and Mallow.
