The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed this evening that an Irish woman has been killed in a road traffic collision in Lanzarote.
The woman, whose age is not known, is understood to be from Co Galway. Another Irish woman was injured in the incident.
The Department said it was trying to establish the facts and the woman’s name would not be released until her relations had been informed.
