The funeral of Garda Tony Tighe one of two gardai killed when a stolen car crashed into their vehicle at high speed on Sunday is taking place in Dublin this morning.
Garda Tighe's funeral Mass at Mount Argus Church, Harold’s Cross is due to start at 11 a.m. followed by burial at Newlands Cemetery. Hundreds of gardaí as well as senior Government figures are expected to pay their last respects.
Garda Tighe is survived by his wife Irene, his daughter Fiona and his three sons Anthony, Colum and Paul.
