Fourteen die in China after bus crash

A bus overturned and plunged 21 metres (70 feet) from a bridge in southwestern China today, killing 14 people on board.

A bus overturned and plunged 21 metres (70 feet) from a bridge in southwestern China today, killing 14 people on board.

Twelve people died instantly in the crash, which took place yesterday in Hechuan city, Chongqing municipality.

The bus, heading to Xiaojia township, was carrying 30 passengers. Medics attended the scene but were unable to save two badly injured passengers who were pronounced dead later in hospital.
