The names of four men killed in three separate road traffic accidents overnight have been released.

The two men killed in a two-car collision in Co Tipperary early this morning were Mr Gerald Moran (41) of Golden, Co Tipperary, who was the driver of one of the cars, and Mr Thomas Meagher (38), from Tipperary town, who was a passenger in the second car.

The crash occurred at 1.15 a.m. at Knockroe, Golden.

In Co Donegal, Mr Mark Connelly (21) of Kesh, Co Fermanagh, died when his car crashed into a stone wall at Lettercran Road in Pettigo.

In Co Monaghan, Mr Peter McKenna (20) of Emyvale was killed by a two-car collision on the Castleblaney-to-Monaghan road.
