Four held in Dublin crime swoops

Four men are being questioned by gardaí today in connection with separate investigations into serious crime in Dublin.

And this morning gardaí carried out searches in the Greenfort Lawns area of Ronanstown and recovered a sawn-off Shotgun, a stun gun, ammunition and a small quantity of cocaine.

There were no arrests but last night three men were detained in Finglas at around 9.30 pm and a sawn-off shotgun was recovered at the scene.

Separately, another man was earlier arrested when €10,000 worth of cannabis was seized in Blanchardstown.

The investigations are part of Operation Anvil - the Grda major operation against gangland and drug crime.
