The victim, found with five gunshot wounds to one knee and two to the other, was in a stable condition in hospital yesterday.

He is believed to have known his attackers but so far he has given gardai few details of the incident, which took place at 8.20 a.m. yesterday at Cloiginn Road, Ballyfermot.
