Four held after armed raid in west Dublin

Four men are being questioned following an armed raid on a west Dublin supermarket last night.

Four men are being questioned following an armed raid on a west Dublin supermarket last night.

A gang of four men, armed with a handgun, a sawn-off shotgun and a hammer, held up staff at a supermarket in Hartstown, Clonsilla at 6 p.m.

The men stole a small quantity of cash and escaped on an car.

However, all four were later arrested and the firearms, cash and getaway car all recovered.

The men are being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. They can be held for 72 hours.
