An Post has confirmed that it has suspended four staff over accounting irregularities in the GPO in Dublin.
The company said an investigation into the irregularities are ongoing.
The workers have been suspended with full pay "as a precaution in order to facilitate the completion of the
internal investigation" the company said in a statement.
An Post also said the Gardai had been informed and were awaiting the result of the internal inquiry.
