Marseille - France announced a judicial inquiry yesterday into a three-day fire which destroyed more than 10,000 acres of woodland and scrub in hills north of Marseille.
Smouldering industrial rubbish was allegedly dumped at the site on Friday. The mayor of Marseille said it was an aberration that burning rubbish was dumped in the middle of the summer. - (AFP)
