Johannesburg - An under-13 football team trooped into the bedroom of Nkosi Johnson, South Africa's renowned anti-AIDS activist, yesterday, but the 11-year-old boy was in no condition to talk to them, his mother said.

Nkosi, who became a leading public figure in the fight against the AIDS pandemic, has been unable to talk since suffering brain damage last week as AIDS spread through his body.
