Five people have been injured in a two-car crash in Co Clare.
The collision occurred at about 12.40pm at Manusmore between junctions 11 and 12 on the M18 Ennis bypass.
Gardaí closed the northbound lanes of the M18 between Dromoland and Clarecastle for some time while emergency crews dealt with the aftermath of the crash.
Three women, were taken to Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick and a man a young child were taken to Ennis General Hospital for treatment.
None of their injuries are reported to be life-threatenting.
