Fiorentina FC placed under administration
The cash-strapped Italian football club Fiorentina FC has been placed under administration.
The club, relegated from the top flight last season, will be supervised during the next eight months in an attempt to get their finances in order.
Judge Antonio Maci said: "I'm sure the affair will be resolved."
Fiorentina have been in financial trouble all year despite selling several star players - Francesco Toldo, Portugal's Rui Costa and Tomas Repka of the Czech Republic - at the start of the season.
