A fifth man was charged yesterday in connection with the incident in which student Brian Murphy (18) died outside Dublin's Burlington Hotel last August.

Mr Michael Hussey (20), Lansdowne Park, Dublin, was charged with violent disorder at Sussex Road on August 31st. The court heard the DPP had directed the charge be dealt with at district court level.

Det Sgt J.J. Keane said Mr Hussey made no reply to the charges. Gardai had no objection to bail.

His solicitor, Mr Michael Staines, said his client would not be applying for legal aid.

Judge David Anderson set Mr Hussey's bail in his own bond of £45 and remanded him to appear on July 18th.
