The Fianna Fail spokesman on agriculture said he is "dismayed" that there is still no date set for the promised visit to Ireland of Libyan officials to assess beef for live export. Mr Brian Cowen said if live exports had not started by early autumn there would be a collapse in beef prices. He accused the Minister for Agriculture, Mr Yates, of failing to persuade the Government to make the BSE crisis a political priority.
