Counties Cork and Kerry have a regional GNP of just 70 per cent of the EU average, according to a new study which is likely to strengthen the hand of those arguing for continuing Structural Fund assistance for parts of the State. The study was by Dr Eoin O'Leary and Mr Trevor Donnellan of the Economics Department at University College Cork.
