Gardaí are investigating the death of a 54-year-old man who died when the quad bike he was driving collided with a tractor at his farm in north Cork.

The crash happened at around 1pm on the farm at Kiskeam.

The father of four was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

He has not yet been named.

The Health and Safety Authority are expected to hold an investigation into the incident.
