A Dublin anti-drugs activist accused of passing drugs to his jailed son was released by Judge Con O'Leary in Dublin District Court yesterday because the prison officer witnesses were all on holidays.

Mr Matthew Mullin (49), of Rowlagh Crescent, Neilstown, Clondalkin, was charged with possession and supply of cannabis valued at £30 at Wheatfield Prison, Clondalkin, on August 27th last.

The case had been twice adjourned to allow for video evidence. Some 10 prison officers and one arresting garda were due to give evidence.
