Two people have died in a house fire in Tuam, Co. Galway.
A father (79) and daughter (50) died after the fire spread from a downstairs room and throughout the rest of the house on Gilmartin Road in Tuam.
Gardaí spotted the fire when passing the house at 2.30am today.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. Garda experts will carry out a forensic investigation later today.
