Hong Kong - More than 100 members of the Falun Gong spiritual group, proscribed in mainland China, staged a sit-in protest in central Hong Kong yesterday to call for an end to what they called "unreasonable persecution" by Beijing. The Hong Kong leader, Mr Tung Chee-hwa, described Falun Gong protests as a deliberate move to undermine the relationship between Hong Kong and Beijing.
