Arsenal defender Sol Campbell's disciplinary woes continued today when he was charged by the Football Association with violent conduct.

The charge comes on the recommendation of the FA's Video Advisory Panel following Campbell's retaliation against Manchester United's Eric Djemba-Djemba during the Community Shield.

Campbell, who was banned for the final four games of last season, could face a further three-match ban if found guilty of this charge.

He is already facing a one-game ban as a result of his sending off against Everton last weekend.
