THE aggregate cost of staff recruited in connection with the appointment of two additional Ministers of State last year, excluding existing Civil Service staff, was around £160,000, the House was told.
The Minister for Finance, Mr Quinn, in a written reply to the Fianna Fail Chief Whip, Mr Dermot Ahern, said the Ministers were attached to a number of Departments and that was reflected in the cost of their personal staffs.
