London - A former Rwandan army chief yesterday denied genocide over the 1994 massacre of thousands of ethnic Tutsis in the African state, a London court heard.

Mr Tharcisse Muvunyi (46) is accused of being the army commander of two provinces where at least 100,000 people died in three months. Mr Muvunyi, who appeared at Bow Street Magistrates' court yesterday, denies involvement in the killings.
