The euro eased off yesterday's record highs against the dollar, the yen and sterling in early trade this morning amid profit taking.
Against the dollar, the euro was at $1.179 down from yesterday's record high of $1.1932. at 11 a.m. (Irish time).
Against the pound, the euro was at £0.7192, slightly lower than yesterday's peak of £0.7253.
The euro also eased against the yen, and stood at Yen 138.7 after hitting a high of Yen 139.12.
