Luas operator releases footage of people walking in front of trams

Videos released to highlight safety issue

Every day thousands of pedestrians and hundreds of Luas trams use busy Dublin streets. This video shows you what Luas drivers see with clips from the cab CCTV. Video: Transdev Ireland

Their bells have for long been part of Dublin’s soundtrack - yet Luas operator Transdev has highlighted what it calls a worrying trend of people stepping out in front of trams.

Transdev has released footage of such incidents taken from Luas cabs in an effort to highlight the issue.

The campaign aims to remind people to stay focused and not get distracted when crossing over tram lines in the capital.
