Ennis, Co Clare, has been selected by the National Tourism Council for a £3.5 million international folk music centre. Work on the project in the town centre is expected to be completed by the end of next year. Mr Tom Dowling, Clare assistant county manager, said: "It is our aspiration to make Ennis the hub of traditional music in Ireland."
