A man in his seventies has died in a house fire in Dublin this afternoon.
The blaze was reported at a house on Thatch Road close to Whitehall church shortly after 3 p.m. The man’s body has been taken to the morgue for examination.
Gardaí are carrying out an examination at the premises although foul play is not suspected at this stage.
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
