A summary of the plan to revamp Trinity College.
• Ensure that 5 per cent of students are from underprivileged sectors of Irish society and that 20 per cent of students come from outside the State
• Develop a learning and social environment for students with disabilities
Strengthen the university's contribution to the social and economic vitality of Dublin
• Build 40,000 square metres of new facilities to meet academic, sporting and social needs, as well as an additional 1,500 residential units for students
• Develop the physical infrastructure of the college, to include high-specification facilities for postgraduate research
Total cost: 475 million, of which €375 million is for capital spending and €80 million for endowments
