Junior Cert/German: There was a broad welcome for yesterday's Junior Certificate German higher level paper, which teachers described as straightforward and well laid-out.
"There was a good range of subjects and topics which should be of interest to students," said Mr Helmut Sundermann, a teacher at St Killian's German school in Dublin. " Overall, it was quite manageable for students."
"Students found the listening comprehension fair, and the content very relevant," said Ms Orla Ní Fhuílleabháin of the Institute of Education in Dublin. "The reading comprehension was fair, but was quite difficult for the average student."
Mr Feargal Ó'Giolláin, subject representative with the TUI, said the paper was generally accessible and manageable for students."For a broad range of students it was a do-able paper," he said. "It was well laid-out and clear."
