Family Literacy Event

Stories, Storysacks, and Family Literacy is a family literacy event with Neil Griffiths, the creator of Storysacks, to be held on Wednesday May 4th at The Gresham Hotel, O'Connell Street, Dublin 1. This event aims to show how Storysacks can help adults to improve their literacy levels and to take a full part in family life. A Storysack is a cloth bag, containing books, dolls and other props, that makes literacy development an enjoyable experience for all the family. Storysacks can be bought, but are more effective if they are made by the community of learners and practitioners who use them. This event will provide the skills and encouragement to start this process across Ireland. For more information contact the National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA). Tel: 01-8554332.
