There's no time to stand around singing: tomorrow is the closing date for the 10 choral scholarships that will be offered in the next academic year by Christ Church Cathedral to third-level students who are singers of a high calibre. The scholarships are valued at £2,000 each.
Scholarship recipients will be expected to play a full part in the life of the cathedral's choir, which sings evensong on Thursday evenings and sung Eucharist on Sunday mornings. The 10 scholars will also be responsible for singing Saturday evensong.
