An Eastern European man was seriously assaulted by two men in Dublin last night.
Gardai said the assault happened between 9 and 10:45 p.m. in the Leinster Road area of Rathmines.
The 49-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in the attack and was taken to St James Hospital but was subsequently transferred to Beaumont.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward
