Republic of Ireland and Blackburn star Damien Duff will sign a new contract at Ewood Park before or after tomorrow night's Premiership clash with Liverpool.

Blackburn manager Graeme Souness confirmed today he expects the deal to be completed within the next 24 hours.

Duff has two years to run on his current deal but Blackburn have moved to secure his future in the wake of impressive displays at the World Cup.

Defender Hakan Unsal is returning to Galatasaray after a short spell with Blackburn. It is understood Blackburn have recovered the £650,000 they paid for the World Cup player.
