Two men facing six charges each in connection with a foiled raid on an AIB bank in Crumlin, Dublin, over the weekend were yesterday remanded in custody at Dublin District Court.
Of the 12 charges against John Foy, Croftwood Park, Ballyfermot, and Danny Hamill, Clanmaurice Road, Donnycarney, three relate to firearms offences, two to false imprisonment and one each to robbery.
Gardaí recovered some €700,000 in cash and two automatic weapons after an attempt was made to rob members of staff as they loaded ATM machines.
Both men were remanded in custody by consent until Friday.
