Dublin man remanded over murder of son (12)

A Dublin man accused of murdering his 12-year-old son has been remanded in custody today.

A Dublin man accused of murdering his 12-year-old son has been remanded in custody today.

Mr John Carroll (48), of Bayview Rise, Killiney, was charged with the murder of Andrew Carroll last week.

Judge William Earley remanded him in custody for four weeks at Dun Laoghaire District Court following a doctor's report.  Mr Carroll did not appear in court.

Andrew Carroll was found dead at his family home in south Co Dublin last Friday night.

State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy carried out a post-mortem on the body at Loughlinstown Hospital.
