Dublin Castle has been evacuated following a bomb warning.

The Army bomb disposal team are currently investigating the scene.

The warning was received at around 4 p.m. A garda spokeswoman was unable to confirm if a recognised codeword had been used. "We have to deal with all of these things," she said.

It is thought that Prince Charles, who is on a visit to Ireland, was due to have dinner there later this evening.
