Drugs seized in Limerick searches

Gardaí in Limerick have seized a quantity of what they believe to be heroin in a number of planned searches today.

Gardaí from Roxboro Road station said they conducted a number of searches in the Limerick area this morning.

"While conducting one of the searches on an area of open ground near O’Malley Park a quantity of drugs believed to be heroin (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €40,000 was discovered," a Garda statement said.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
