Two men were charged in Belfast yesterday following the discovery of £100,000 worth of cannabis in a hire car

Two men were charged in Belfast yesterday following the discovery of £100,000 worth of cannabis in a hire car. The drugs were found behind door panels several days after the car returned from Liverpool.

Gerard Norwood (21), from Aughrim Court, Derriaghy, and William John Mullan (27), from Walmer Street, Belfast, were charged with conspiring to supply drugs. McMullan was also charged with possessing the drugs with intent to supply. They deny the charges. Both were remanded in custody until July 17th.
