London - A barman collapsed and died after drinking 30 shots of whisky and five bottles of larger in less than an hour during a lethal drinking game, an inquest heard yesterday.

A post mortem on Paul Ellis (30) found he was more than eight times over the legal limit for driving, with 644 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the hearing was told. The legal limit is 80 milligrams.
