District Court judges nominated

The Government has nominated four new judges of the District Court for appointment by the President. They are:

The Government has nominated four new judges of the District Court for appointment by the President. They are:

Mr James O'Connor, a solicitor from Killorglin, Co Kerry, who will be an unassigned Judge of the District Court; Mr Thomas Edward O'Donnell, a solicitor from Limerick, Mr David R. Anderson and Ms Mary Caroline Devins, a solicitor from Sligo, will be assigned to the Dublin Metropolitan District.

The Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue, will also make an Order increasing the number of judges in Dublin from 14 to 16.

The Government also decided to assign Judge John F. Neilan, a judge of the District Court, to District No 9.
