Three of 15 foreigners deported from Mexico in the past week were taken from an Irish-run "peace camp" in the southern state of Chiapas, according to the Irish Mexico Group.

Mr Ramor Dagge said that 800 Mexican police and troops had invaded the community of Diez de Abril, where the Irish group has run a "peace camp" since early last year. He denounced the "disappearance" of Mr Jose Lopez Mendez (17) after he was "beaten by police".
