Austin - The Texas appeal court yesterday rejected an attempt by a woman on death row to stay her execution by lethal injection and begin new legal hearings. Karla Faye Tucker (38), a double murderer, is scheduled to die on Tuesday. She would become the first woman executed in Texas since 1863. Her attorneys were not immediately available for comment.
