The former Northern Ireland Ombudsman, Dr Maurice Hayes, is to chair a review group on acute hospital services in the North. He was appointed by the Minister of Health Ms Bairbre de Brun. The group is to report by the end of February. Dr Hayes is a former permanent secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services.
