Dangerous driver to be sentenced

A businessman who rode a motorcycle at up to 135 m.p.h

A businessman who rode a motorcycle at up to 135 m.p.h. during a Garda chase between Ardee, Co Louth and Ashbourne, Co Meath has been remanded for sentencing on July 6th.

James O'Reilly (32) of The Newsbox, Main Street, Athboy, Co Meath, admitted nine charges of dangerous driving and a hit-and-run collision with a Garda car on March 21st.

Garda Frank McPhillips said when he gave chase three bikes went through Ardee at 110 m.p.h. and "scattered cars all over the place." O'Reilly was stopped when he collided with another Garda car parked across the road.
