Gardaí renew appeal over woman found injured in West Dublin

Gardaí in Blanchardstown investigating an incident in which a 35-year-old woman was found seriously injured at Lohunda Dale, Clonsilla in the early hours of Sunday, May 8th, are renewing their appeal for witnesses.

The woman was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital. Her condition is described as critical.

Gardaí are investigating the possibility that she may have been the victim of a hit-and-run crash.

They have established that she travelled from Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 in a taxi to the Lohunda area prior to her discovery and are seeking to identify the driver of this taxi.

Gardaí have carried out extensive house to house enquiries and are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Lohunda Estate/Ongar Distributor Road area between 3.15am and 4.15am on Sunday May 8th to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
