A man has been arrested after a firearm and ammunition were seized at a home in Co Donegal.
The man in his 20s was arrested at a house near the village of Convoy after gardaí and a regional support unit carried out a search of the premises at 6pm on Sunday.
Gardaí recovered a firearm and a quantity of ammunition during the search. The man was taken to Letterkenny Garda station where he is being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
