IF you were a winner in the parent lottery and managed to produce an extraordinarily talented child who by the age of 24 was earning literally millions of pounds a year, you'd probably trade in your working shoes for a "pair of fluffy mules and retire to a recliner by a sunny pool.

Not so Eileen O'Riordan. She is mother of Dolores, the lead singer in the Cranberries, who last year earned a staggering £3.4 million. Eileen - once a caterer in a factory - is set to become by far the coolest restaurateur in Limerick when her new restaurant opens on Little Ellen Street later this year.

The O'Riordans have commissioned architect of the moment Derek Tynan - he is also working on John Rocha's new Grafton Street emporium - to create a very stylish space. Eileen is determined that the restaurant won't open until the right head chef is found and the family is currently conducting interviews.
